In the recent past, they killed one American person (John Allen Chau), Chau had gone to the island for preaching Christianity to the Sentinelese.

Government Action For Sentinelese

Even after a lot of efforts of the governments, it was found that, after bringing them in contact with the external environment, they were not able to survive in a new atmosphere. Their immune system was still very weak to handle even a little change in environment.
In 1956 the government of India declare the North Sentinel island is a tribal reserve area and prohibited for travel within 3 miles of the island because of their safety.
