SAY NO TO PLASTIC
Now the time comes for “ SAY NO TO PLASTIC ”. We now live in
an era where only plastic is everywhere. We shall no longer be mistaken to call
it a Plastic World. Research has shown that 2 million plastic bags are used
worldwide in 1 minute. And even worse, plastic products like Poly-Bags take
1000 years to decompose. But what to do, due to our unchanging behavior, we
never consider the same even after knowing its impact and loss.
Any type or form of plastic is harmful to health. Whenever
we are going to any street or place we find plastic lying anywhere. Now it
seems that to finish plastic is becoming unrealistic and impractical.
Earlier, when there was no Poly-Bag, people used to use
cotton bags to buy necessary things from the market, which did not require a
polybag. It also saved the environment and also saved some money of the
businessman.
There is a lot of inconvenience due to the use of Plastic Bags and plastic items these days. Such as-
- The land gets littered by Plastic Bags as well as its products.
- Plastic products do not easily decompose.
- Marine life gets highly affected by plastic wastes like plastic bottles, Poly-Bags, all types of plastic products.
[ 5 Reasons ] Why You SAY NO TO PLASTIC
- Plastic not only pollutes our land but also the Marine life system.
- Plastic products like poly bags take 1000 years to decompose.
- Plastic products are harmful to human health and also creates life and death situation for Animals.
- Plastic products are not easy to recycle.
- Polybag production companies kill the cotton bag making Small Scale Industries.
STATE Which Is Ban Poly-Bags In INDIA
There are several State and UT’s have banned the Poly-Bags,
but the Govt. is not very efficient enough to implement the ban strictly.
Maharastra was the first State to ban poly-bags on 23 March 2018, Telangana on
June and Himachal Pradesh in July.
Here several problems arise for the State Govt. for say no
to plastics. When Tamil Nadu banned Plastic products from 1 Jan 2019, the Hotel
Industries are coming in trouble because they have to think about the
alternatives.
In Odisha, there is also a ban on Poly-Bags but it is only
on paper. The ban on Poly-Bags is just in some city areas only. But in the
village and rural areas, so many poly-bag making companies are still running
their work and people are still using it. We can name so many States for the ban of Poly-Bag in their
State, but the fact is that the implementations are still questionable.
Here are some practical solutions that can help us gradually
do away plastic from our life-
- We have to leave the use of a Plastic Bottle and Poly-Bag first.
- We will use glass items instead of Plastic items in the house.
- The home delivery services and food takeaways must think about the alternative of plastic packaging.
Now we have to consider that we do not have to think only
about ourselves, because when our future generation starts asking us questions
then what will be our answer to them. Now it’s up to you.
Thank you…
